Superkitchen suggests up to six dishes at once: three from what's in your pantry right now, and three matching the season where you live. You instantly see how many ingredients are already at home, and you can get started right away. And the AI reworks existing recipes on request, for example vegetarian or with a different main ingredient.

AI photo enhancement

From quick snap to food photo.

Snapped in a hurry, served beautifully: on request, the AI tidies up the background, removes smudges, and plates the dish more appetizingly. The original is always kept. And if a recipe has no photo yet, the AI creates a fitting sample image for it.

The story behind it

A Berlin dad of three takes on the challenge

"What's for dinner? Three kids, one fridge, and the same question every single day. Usually without a plan."

Because this problem chased me more persistently than most things at work, I built an app for it: Superkitchen, the app for families and friends who eat together.

  • Snap your food: the AI turns it into a complete recipe.
  • Scan your fridge: recipe suggestions from what's actually there.
  • Weekly plan: who cooks what and when (including delivery, leftovers, or eating out).
  • Kids see what their food does for them (muscles, brain, energy) and vote after the meal.
  • Share recipes with friends and invite each other over for dinner.

Recently launched on the App Store, in English and German. The download is free, and the AI features come with starter credits.

How much does Superkitchen cost?

The download is free and the app shows no ads. The AI features (photo to recipe, pantry scan, inspiration, photo enhancement) come with one-time starter credits; if you want more AI, you pick an optional subscription. Planning, recipes, and the shopping list stay free forever.

Who is Superkitchen for?

For families and friends, so for everyone who eats together. The kids features are a highlight, not a requirement. If you live on your own, you can connect with friends, share recipes, and invite each other over.

Does everyone in the family need an iPhone?

No. One person creates the family and adds everyone else, even without their own device, for example kids. Anyone with their own iPhone joins with a code and plans, wishes, and votes themselves.

Is Superkitchen available for Android?

Right now Superkitchen is available for iPhone, in English and German. What comes next is up to your feedback.

What happens to our data?

Your content belongs to you and is private by default. Friends only see what you explicitly share per recipe. Hosted in the EU (Frankfurt), with no ad tracking. Details are in the privacy policy.
