Terms of Use

1.Service

Superkitchen helps families plan meals together, collect recipes, manage pantry and shopping, and optionally connect with befriended families. The basic features are provided free of charge in their current scope; for the paid AI features, section 7a additionally applies. There is no entitlement to specific features or uninterrupted availability.

2.Account and family

An account is required to use the Service. You are responsible for keeping your access credentials confidential. The person who creates a family is its owner and manages members and roles (Owner, Chef, Sous Chef, Kid).

You confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you are of legal age or acting with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.

3.Children

Children may only use the Service together with a parent or legal guardian and under their responsibility. The parent or guardian who created the family decides about the data of the associated children and consents to its processing.

4.Your content

Recipes, photos, texts, and other content you post remain your content. You grant us the non-exclusive right to store and process this content and to display it to you and the people you have shared it with, solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

For recipes you publish to the community, you additionally grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, and revocable right to display the submitted version of the recipe with its cover photo, your kitchen name, and the number of times it has been saved to all users of the Service in the app and on getsuperkitchen.com. You revoke this right by changing the recipe's visibility; the display then ends. Copies that other users previously saved to their own recipes remain their content.

Third-party content you import via link (recipe pages, Instagram or TikTok posts) is intended for private use in your kitchen and with your friends. Only your own wording with your own or an app-generated photo reaches the community; imported photos stay private. We do not download videos. You remain responsible for complying with the rules of the respective platform.

You confirm that you hold the necessary rights to your content and do not infringe any third-party rights.

5.Permitted use

You agree not to post any unlawful, offensive, harmful-to-minors, or rights-infringing content and not to misuse the Service, in particular not to scrape it automatically, disrupt it, or circumvent security mechanisms.

There is a zero-tolerance policy for objectionable content and abusive behavior. In the friends network and in the community you can report shared content and block or hide families. Reported content is hidden immediately and reviewed.

In the event of violations, we may remove content, suspend access, and permanently exclude abusive users.

6.Sharing with friends and the community

Content is private by default and only visible within your family. For each recipe, you decide whether it stays private, becomes visible to the families you are connected with, or goes to the community. When sharing, you are responsible for ensuring the content is intended for that audience.

Submitting a recipe to the community is voluntary. The submitted version is what gets published; later changes only become public once you submit the recipe again. Cover photo and text are checked automatically before publication. We reserve the right to review, hold back, reject, or remove community recipes at any time, in particular after reports from other users. There is no entitlement to publication.

For the community, you confirm that text and photos are your own or were created with AI and do not infringe any third-party rights, that the cover photo shows the dish with no people as the main subject and no children visible, and that no personal data of third parties is included. We label cover photos created or edited with AI in the community.

6a.Recipes and nutrition

Recipes, amounts, times, and the power values come from the respective family, from the starter recipes we provide, from sources imported via link, or from estimates of the AI feature. We do not guarantee their accuracy, tolerability, or completeness, in particular not with regard to allergens. The power values are a playful orientation and not nutritional advice. Always check ingredients and preparation yourself before cooking.

Nutrition values (calories, fat, carbohydrates, protein, sugar, fiber, salt) are calculated by the app from a recipe's ingredients and amounts using average values from the German Federal Food Code (Bundeslebensmittelschlüssel) and typical piece weights, for raw ingredients and without cooking losses; for imported recipes we additionally show the source's own figures. These values can deviate considerably, are a rough guide only, and are no basis for medical or dietary decisions.

You cook at your own risk. Follow the usual kitchen safety rules, for example when handling hot fat, open flames, and sharp knives, and observe the cooking times for meat, poultry, fish, and eggs. We cannot promise that a dish will turn out well or taste good.

6b.Ordering from Knuspr

At your request, Superkitchen can add your shopping list to the cart of your account with the delivery service Knuspr (Großer Kern GmbH). A purchase contract is concluded solely between you and Knuspr, under Knuspr's terms. Product selection, prices, availability and product information come from Knuspr and may change until you order; the cart at Knuspr is what counts. We match items to the best of our knowledge; please check the cart before ordering. Knuspr is responsible for ordering, delivery, payment and complaints. The “Checkout” button is a partner link for which we may earn a commission. It does not change your price.

7.AI feature

The optional AI feature generates recipe suggestions from photos. The suggestions are automatically generated estimates, may contain errors, and do not replace professional advice. Always check ingredients, amounts, and in particular allergy and intolerance information yourself before cooking.

7a.Paid AI features (subscription)

Use of the AI features is subject to a quota. Each family receives a one-time free starter quota of 30 AI credits. This free quota is not automatically refilled.

If you want to use more, you can take out a monthly subscription. Two plans are available: Standard for EUR 4.99 per month with 150 AI credits per billing month, and Plus for EUR 9.99 per month with 500 AI credits per billing month. The stated prices are final prices and include applicable VAT; the relevant local price is shown to you in the App Store before purchase.

One AI credit corresponds to one simple AI request. Some features, such as generating or editing a photo, consume several credits; the consumption is shown to you before use. The monthly quota is available to you for the current billing period and is reset to the plan value at the start of each new period (based on the renewal date of your subscription, not the calendar month). Unused credits of a month expire with the reset. Additional bonus credits you receive outside the subscription (for example by inviting befriended families) do not expire and are retained on reset.

The subscription is assigned to your family; the quota is available to all eligible members jointly. The contracting party for the purchase is the person who takes out the subscription. If responsibility for the family changes or the purchasing person leaves, administration, renewal, and cancellation of the subscription continue to follow their Apple account.

Purchase, payment, and management of the subscription take place exclusively via your Apple account and the App Store. We do not use our own payment provider and do not receive payment data such as credit card numbers from Apple. The subscription renews automatically for one month at a time at the then-current price unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Cancellation is done via Apple's subscription management (on your device under Settings, your name, Subscriptions) and takes effect at the end of the period already paid for; there is no minimum term beyond that. No subscription can be purchased in the Android app or in the browser version. A subscription purchased in the iPhone app applies to the whole family, including on Android and in the browser.

The AI quota is made available for immediate use directly after the contract is concluded. With your express consent to the immediate start of performance given during the purchase process and your acknowledgment that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal, your right of withdrawal expires pursuant to section 356 (5) of the German Civil Code (BGB). Consent, acknowledgment, and any refunds are obtained and handled by Apple as part of the App Store purchase process.

We may adjust plans, prices, and quotas for the future. A price increase for an existing subscription only takes effect after prior notice and in accordance with Apple's rules. We may change, replace, or temporarily disable individual AI models as long as an equivalent AI feature remains available for using your quota.

8.Availability and warranty

The Service is provided as a free service with the care of an average provider, but without any guarantee of specific properties. We may further develop, restrict, or discontinue the Service. Where reasonable, we will announce material changes in advance.

9.Liability

We are liable without limitation in cases of intent and gross negligence, as well as for injury to life, body, or health. In cases of simple negligence, we are only liable for the breach of a material contractual obligation and limited to the foreseeable damage typical for the contract. Any further liability is excluded. Mandatory statutory liability, for example under the German Product Liability Act, remains unaffected.

10.Term and termination

You can delete your account in the app at any time. We may terminate the usage relationship with reasonable notice, and without notice for good cause. When the account is deleted, the associated data is deleted in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

11.Changes to these terms

We may adjust these terms if features, the legal situation, or the services we use change. We will inform you of material changes in the app or by email. The current version is always available in the app.

12.Final provisions

The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Mandatory consumer protection provisions of the state of your habitual residence remain unaffected. Should any provision be invalid, the remainder remains in effect.
